Becky Ferguson, a long time associate of Wal-Mart transportation in Mount Pleasant, Iowa, works to bring a little financial assistance to the Henderson County Public Library District.
Through her initiative, and that of Carolyn Fry from the Library District, Becky has secured a $500.00 grant from the Wal-Mart Foundation to assist with the children's programs and summer reading projects.
The Wal-Mart organization is well known for bringing financial support as well as associate community involvement.
This particular grant is part of the Literacy Initiative, whose mantra is "Our company can take a leading role in creating a more productive America.
Our objective is to help improve the literacy skills of our customers and associates."
