Henrietta Finch: born on July 4, 1922, on South 6th Street in La Harpe in her grandmother's house.

She attended La Harpe School and graduated from La Harpe High School. "Many times I skated to school," stated Henrietta.

After graduation Henrietta worked in Macomb for awhile and also worked at a newspaper here in La Harpe called "The Harper." Her job was setting type.

In 1946, Henrietta married William Finch, now deceased. They lived on a farm outside of La Harpe where they raised their three sons, Dennis, Brad and Mark.

She now has four grandsons, Jason, Alex, Scott, and Todd, and three great grandaughters, Josie, Madison and Grace, whom she enjoys very much.

During the past 25 years, Henrietta has lived in the same house that she lived in when she was 10 years old, which is on South 6th Street, right across the street from the house where she was born. She is happy to be living there again.

Henrietta's hobbies are traveling and writing short stories and poems. She also loves cats and enjoys spending time with hers.

Henrietta is a member of the Union Church in La Harpe, takes part in many activities at the church and enjoys volunteering.
