Virginia Ross, Stronghurst, took "The Quill" along to the Lincoln County Fair in North Platte, Nebraska. Jodie Orr, Secretary of the Lincoln County Weed Control Office in North Platte shared informative pamphlets concerning noxious weeds in the county: Canada thistle, leafy spurge, purple loosestrife, musk thistle, Plume less thistle, spotted or diffuse knapweeds, salt cedar, phragmites, serecea lespedeza, Japanese knotweed, and yellow iris.
